As a devoted mother, Shelley was a pillar of honesty and resilience, nurturing these values in her beloved daughter, Miranda, who stood by her as not only a daughter but as her best friend. Miranda was profoundly inspired by her mother's relentless fight for life, marveled by how Shelley could still give selflessly, asking nothing in return, even in the face of her own struggles.
